9-D Kite Reflection. February 23, 2012.
1.) The Good/Strong parts of my kite are the coloring/design and the wooden sticks attached, because it will look cool and the stick wil help it fly in the air
2.) I Think I could have done a better job with getting everything measured out evenly, because then it would help the overall design of the kite and help it fly better.
3.) The Unity/Theme of my kite is the American flag, i chose this because i like the USA and it will look sweet when its flying.
4.) The Balance of my kite is bilateral. I chose this because i thought it would look good, and it was easy to put together/color.
5.) I selected the primary colors (i did not use yellow) plus white for my design, i did this because the american flag is red, white, and blue and it matched my theme.
6.) I learned how to make a easy/simple kite. I can awapply this task in the future so i can teach my kids how to build the same kite. Lessons that can be applied is that you have to overcome the task even if you are not strong at what you are doing.
7.) The design of my kite was the american flag, I made it this way because i drew it in my preliminary designs and i liked the idea from the beginning, so it was planned out.
8.) I think this was a worthwhile project, it was one of the best ones we have did. I think this because the project was easy/fun to do.

Intro Paragraph
For this project we had to make kites by using Tyvek, we had to show Balance by making it bilateral or asymetrical. And my unity/theme was USA, and i used red, white, and blue. I made this design like i did because i thought it would look cool when flying.
These are my Preliminary designs, we made these to get ideas of our final design.
This here is a picture of my overall kite design, as you see i tried to make it look like an american flag.
These pictures are of close ups of my design, the first picture is a close up of the backside of the backside of the kite, showing how the wooden sticks are taped on. The second picture is a close up of the fin on the front side, this makes it fly better. The third close up is a picture of the tail, i used a black garbage bag to make this.
